William E. Deuel, age 85, of Wautoma, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at his home.
He was born April 5, 1929, in the Township of Deerfield, the son of Frank and Vina (Chatfield) Deuel. He married the former Delores M. "Dee Dee" Pomplun on June 24, 1950 in Wautoma. She preceded him in death on December 22, 1994.
Bill was employed as an assembler at Speed Queen in Wautoma and later Ripon for 43 years until his retirement. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wautoma and he was a longtime member of the Wautoma Volunteer Fire Department. Bill loved being with his family, camping, tinkering around the house, fishing, gardening and woodworking.
He is survived by two sons, Douglas (friend Edna Lafler) Deuel, Wautoma, Jeffrey (Julie) Deuel, Green Lake; six grandchildren, Derek (Tara) Clark, Green Lake, Crystal (Jason) Zellner, Fond du Lac, Justin Deuel, Green Lake, Dana Deuel, Redgranite, Chelsey (fiancé Nick Putskey) Clark, Wautoma, and Alex Flick, Green Lake; four great grandchildren, William, Zachary, Jaedalynn, and Zaeron; one sister, Lucinda (Larry) Laabs, Oshkosh. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Duane Deuel; his daughter, Pamela Clark; and by four brothers, Frank Deuel, Lloyd "John" Deuel, Roland Deuel, and Allan[Allen] Deuel.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wautoma with Rev. Brian D. Rohde officiating. Burial will be in Wautoma Union Cemetery.
