ENID CHATFIELD
Enid was born January 21, 1913 to Corydon Minor Anderson and Lora Edna Sharp in Promise City, Iowa and departed this life on October 15, 1999 at Glendale Memorial Hospital in Glendale, California.
Enid graduated from high school in Promise City. On April 18, 1929 she was united in marriage to Harold Chatfield. They had two children, a daughter Janene Capp and son Jerry Chatfield. They lived in various towns in Iowa where Harold was an industrial arts teacher and boys' basketball coach. In 1942 they moved to Cleveland, Ohio and lived there until 1955 when they moved to La Mirada, California.
Enid was a member of the Methodist church and various organizations during her many years. Enid's main concern in life was the care and love of her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Enid's mother died in 1933 and for many years her sister Colleen was a member of her family.
She lived her remaining years in Panorama City, California. In May, 1999 she was very ill and spent the remainder of her life in a nursing home and in hospitals.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold; daughter Janene Capp; son Jerry Chatfield; brothers, Ellis and Clare Anderson; sisters Karolyn Bevington, Fra Roe and infant sister Naomi.
