Kaye Richard Brokaw, a proud Irishman, age 64, of St. Michael, formerly of Deerwood, was called to his heavenly father on Oct. 8, 2011. Preceded in death by his parents Mark Brokaw and Melba (nee Moritz) Kieser; sister Harrietta Kile; and niece, Vikki AnnMarie Miller. Survived by his sisters, Vikki (Brian) Glenz, of Emily, Minn., Coral (Brian) Miller; nieces, Maria, Julie, Katie, Melissa and Linda; nephews, Todd, Kelly, William and Terrance; many great-nieces and great-nephews. Also survived by his extended family, Barb and Ben Crandall; and their son, Mike. Kaye was an accomplished fiddle player, playing with groups such as Wagon Wheelers and the Range Ramblers. He loved his many dogs. He also had a voracious appetite for reading. He was fond of saying "There are too many books and too little time." Kaye was a great storyteller, possessing a wonderful sense of humor and a positive outlook on life. He made many lifelong friends. Friends may gather to celebrate Kaye's life Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, from 1-3 p.m. at Vikki Glenz's home, 38627 State Hwy. 6, Emily, Minn. Private interment at Lakewood Cemetery, Crosby, Minn.
