Schooling at Christ Church Infants School, evacuated to Bedfordshire 1940 returned to Silverhill Primary School gaining my 11 plus taking me to Hastings Grammar School Nelson Road.
Started Apprenticeship with Eldridge & Cruttenden in 1949 as electrician , National Service 1954-1956. Continued in the Electrical trade with Marshall-Tufflex until retirement in 1988

Hobbies are Breeding Budgerigars, Stamp Collecting, Watching Sport (participating in my younger days ) Family History.

Having seen your request in above magazine, My fathers mother was married to a John Chatfield of 4 St. Marys Road, Hastings on 28/08/1908 at the registry office in Hastings
my father also had a step brother William and a step sister Ivy. William had two sons Dennis and Godfrey who are still alive, Ivy married a Mr Oswald and had twins Gillian and Derek.

Harriet died in 1907 in Hailsham allowing John Chatfield to marry my Grandmother Mary Jane Good in 1908. I assume that is when my Father assumed the surname Chatfield.
