Mrs. A. Chatfield for many years, Brooks oldest resident, died at her home on Sunday, June 6, aged 90 years. She was very active up until quite recently. The late Mrs. Chatfield was born in Ottawa and was married in that city. The family moved west in 1900 to settle at Macleod where they became well known. In 1914, they came to Brooks where Mr. Chatfield became the first jeweller to open a shop here. He died in 1924. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Bert Schon. Bassano; Mrs. G. Bambrick. Olds. Mrs. E. Grant. Macleod. and Mrs. H. Murphy. Naniamo. B.C.. and two sons, Charles of Winnipeg and Reginald of Brooks. Rev. Selwyn conducted funeral serrvice on Wednesday afternoon from St. Alban's Anglican church, Internment was made in Brooks cemetery,
