Obituary - The Kitsap Sun, Bremerton, WA, March 14, 2012
Edward L. Henneman was born August 2, 1932 and went to live with the Lord on Sunday, March 11, 2012. He was born to Carl Herbert and Hazel (Wesen) Henneman in Valentine, Montana. He married his wife Karen on August 26, 1960. They spent 51 years together. He is survived by his wife, sons Henry (Judy) of Bremerton, WA and Bret (Cecilia) of Flagstaff, AZ, sister Irene Hambrick and bother Ralph (Mary) of Bremerton, stepbrothers Dale and Larry Grass of Rapid City, SD and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Donald and Robert and sister Evelyn. He moved to Bremerton at a young age and lived most of his life in the Central Kitsap area. He graduated from Central Kitsap High School, served in the US Marine Corps, worked at Boeing, and retired from PSNS after 26 years of service as a Naval Architectural Technician. Ed was a volunteer with Kitsap County Fire District 15 and Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue for 32 years retiring in 2001 as a Battalion Chief. He was active with the Boy Scouts as Scout Master while both his sons became Eagle Scouts. Ed enjoyed woodworking, growing dahlias and traveling with the Elks Travel & Fun Club in his Motorhome. Memorial Services will be held Monday, March 19 at 1pm with viewing from 11am to 1pm in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Memorial Park, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW Lakewood, WA. Memorials may be made to the CK Fire & Rescue Firefighters Association.
