WALLINGFORD — Mrs. Helen (Hacku) CHATFIELD, 100, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Masonicare of Wallingford. She was the widow of William Chatfield.

Helen was born March 5, 1915, in Wallingford, a daughter of the late John and Anna Hacku. Prior to her retirement, Helen was the owner and operator of Helen's Beauty Nook in Wallingford. She was a member of Prospect Congregational Church and a former member of the Prospect Card Club.

Helen is survived by her niece and caretaker, Susan Ostuno of Prospect, and her brother, Daniel Hacku of Northford. Beside her husband, and her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Duncan and brothers John and Frank Hacku.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2015, from Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect, to Prospect Congregational Church, 25 Center St., Prospect, for a service at 11 a.m. Family and friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Her burial will be held in Prospect Cemetery in the spring.
