In 1980 I found another marriage record of George and Mary McLaughlin at the Registry of Vital Records and Statistics, at the McCormack Building in Boston. As I recall, that marriage occurred about February, 1950. My Mother told me at the time that her and my father married twice, but gave no explanation.
