Transcript "An old and well-respected resident of the district in the person of Mrs Jane Mary CHATFIELD, passed away on Thursday night after having ailed for some considerable time.
Deceased was born at "Binnie Downs" near Coolah, over seventy one years ago and was the eldest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs George Cain. Her father was head stockman for many years for the late Mr John McMaster.
Deceased was married to the late Mr Alfred CHATFIELD, who predeceased her nineteen years ago. Incidentally, their wedding was the first ever solemnised at Burra Bee Dee, Rev. Brett officiating.
The late Mrs Chatfield is survived by a family of three daughters and five sons, nameley, Mesdames Ted Tighe, W. Jackson and W. Sutherland, and Messrs. Alfred, George, John, Harold and Charles, all of Coonabarabran. There are also thirty-four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. There are also two sisters, Mrs Queenie Robinson, of Burra Bee Dee, and Mrs H. McLaren, of Coonabarabran. Mr Hugh Cain of Burra Bee Dee, is a brother.
The burial took place in the Church of England portion of the Coonabarabran cemetery on Friday afternoon, Rev. Butler carrying out the last sad rites.
