My mom was always very private about her family the Gaffneys. They were from Hartford and from what I understand pretty well to do. My mom lived on Willow street in Waterbury with her mother, who died young from throat cancer. But my mother said her uncles were around her a lot, all in some sort of music businesses or musicians, a name I remember is Uncle Walter. I think my mom's mother (my grandmother's name) was Sara or Sarah Gaffney and Sara owned the house on Willow Street. We lived across the street.
