JAMES "JIM" HALL, JR., 71, of South Point, Ohio, went home to be with his Heavenly Father, Saturday, August 24, 2013, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Kentucky. The Ironton, Ohio, native was born April 3, 1942, the son of the late James Hall Sr. and Winona Chatfield Hall. Mr. Hall retired in 1996 after 35 years as a construction worker with Laborer's Union Local No. 83. He attended South Point Schools growing up and really enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Loretta Jean Bolden and Betty Lou Moore, and one brother, George Hall. He is survived by his wife, Billie Sue Starr Hall whom he married March 25, 1963; son and daughter-in-law James J. and Rhonda Rae Hall of Ironton, Ohio; daughter Karen Hall of South Point, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law Christy and Phillip Hall of Kitts Hill, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law Melissa and John Burns of Ironton, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law Angie and Danny Sullivan of Ironton, Ohio; daughter Rhonda Hall Maynard of Ironton, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer Blankenship, Johnna Hosey, Tori Mitchell, Jeff Burns, Emily Burns, Corey Wright, Dylan Maynard, Cameron Maynard, Rebecca Wagner and Brooke Wagner; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Hern and Rosemary Woods, both of Coal Grove, Ohio; sister-in-law Alice Hall of Ironton, Ohio; three sons-in-law, Chris Maynard, John Allen and Blair Wright and also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South 7th Street, Ironton, Ohio 45638 with Pastor Jason Plummer officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
