Robert H. ''Bob'' Hinrichs, 79, of Watseka, died Friday (May 30, 1997) at Iroquois Memorial Hospital.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Watseka.
He was born Oct. 23, 1917, in Chicago, the son of Henry Wilkens and Agnes McNally Henrichs.
One sister is deceased.
He served in the U.S. Navy as a Machinists Mate 3C, serving with Adm. Halsup 7th Fleet in the Pacific on the USS Dortch Destroyer.
Mr. Hinrich was a conductor for Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway for 35 years, retiring in 1975.
During retirement, he enjoyed raising horses and showing antique cars. For 15 years he and his wife spent the winter in Florida.
He was a member of the Watseka VFW Post 7450 and American Legion Post 0023.
