Lola Mae Lamb, of Las Vegas, passed away Oct. 14, 2014. Lola was born July 9, 1920, in Nortonville, N.D., to parents, Viva L. Chatfield Ehrhardt and Edward Ehrhardt. She married Kenneth H. Lamb Nov. 26, 1947, in Rome, N.Y. They celebrated their 56th Anniversary November 2002. Lola was a private tech-4 cook in the U.S. Army during World War II. She enlisted Aug. 12, 1944, and was discharged Nov. 15, 1946, after an auto accident prevented her from further service. Lola was a life member of DAV Thunderbird Chapter 34, and was among those veterans organizing the chapter. She served in every office, commander senior, vice commander, treasurer, adjutant and chaplin. She was in charge of buying Christmas gifts, organized parties, raffles and she always brought food to help with monthly dinners. She served as a volunteer in the coffee shop nine or 10 years, and worked at the "Forget-Me-Not" stands every year. She was a member of the DAV Rats & Cats. She was "everywhere...always helping!" Lola was a member of the Red Hat Club on N. Bruce St. in North Las Las Vegas until it was dissolved. Lola was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; both parents; two brothers, Kenneth Ehrhardt Sr. and Martin Ehrhardt; and two sisters, Irene Ehrhardt Mushatt and Grace Ehrhardt Evans; and two nephews, Kenneth Ehrhardt Jr. and Ray Mushatt. She is survived by several sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews; also many, many dear neighbors and friends! Memorial services for Lola will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. (at Washington).
