The marriage took place on August 29, 1906 at New Shoreham, Sussex, England according to the rites of the Church of England. WIFE LEAVES HUSBAND DIVORCE PETITION GRANTED SYDNEY, Thursday.
In the Divorce Court to-day, James Chatfield petitioned for a divorce from his wife, Prances Jane CHATFIELD, on the ground of misconduct with William Clooney. The petitioner stated that he was married in 1906 when he was a master mariner. He went to the war in 1914, and afterwards took up farming at Yenda. His wife objected to living in the bush, and only stayed a week. She did not return, and he found her living with Clooney at Marrickville. Mr. Justice Halse Rogers granted the petitioner a decree nisi.
