Obituary published in the Deseret News on January 21, 2002:

Rebecca Ann Liddle, our dear and precious daughter, sister, aunt, grand-daughter, niece, cousin, and friend, was embraced by a score of angels and taken back to her Father In Heaven January 18, 2002.

Becky was born March 18, 1980 in Salt Lake City, UT to Mark Robert and Terry Burt Liddle; who at that time lived in West Jordan. She lived her life with enthusiasm, grace and goodness.

Becky was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her faith in Jesus Christ was simple and pure and her life reflected her commitment to Him. She served in many callings in her Young Women classes and earned her Young Womanhood Medallion. Later she taught, cuddled and cared for the little children in her Nursery Class and more recently served as Sunday School secretary. All of these callings occurred in the Bountiful 17th Ward. In Sept, she became a member of the Bountiful 55th Young Adult Ward where she was currently serving as a member of the Activities Committee. Beyond these callings were Becky's countless acts of Christian service and love which were interwoven within the fabric of her life.

Becky's love and acceptance of people was universal. Bias, bigotry, hate, and insult were foreign to Becky. She was a "best friend" to everyone she knew. She was happy just being part of a group; never needing to be the focus of it. The barriers of age were invisible to Becky. It was as easy for her to play peek-a-boo, hide-and-seek or read children's books with her niece, Ella or cousins, as it was for her go to a movie with her friends. It was as easy for her to spend time talking with a peer as it was to just hang out with her mom and dad and their friends. Becky's true gift was her ability to inspire people to be better simply by being around her. She was always happy and had a radiant smile and hearty, infectious laugh. She had no guile. Her uncompromising love extended to her pets especially her brother's dog, Tyson. She had a great love for music.

Becky graduated from Woods Cross High School in 1998. She was currently attending Salt Lake Community College where she was pursuing a degree in Family and Human Studies. Becky was active in the SLCC Institute of Religion program where she had the opportunity to serve as a Board Member in the IWA (Institute Wo-men's Association) last year. She enjoyed her employment as a Banquet Server at the Inn at Temple Square, where she considered her co-workers as some of her best friends.

Becky is survived by her parents Mark and Terry Liddle, Bountiful, UT; sister, Heather and her husband, Brian Phillips; niece, Ella; and nephew, Samuel; maternal grandparents, Kent and Hilda Burt; many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her loving brother, Stephen; paternal grandparents, William and Vaudis Liddle; aunt, Ruth Ann Liddle George Wickham; and uncle, Wayne George, preceded her in death.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thurs. Jan 24, 2002, Bountiful East Stake Center, 2200 S. 600 E. Friends may visit with Becky's family Wed. Jan 23, 6-8 p.m., Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main, or 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to her service. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
