Obituary
JEANNE ADDISON, 90, of Brittany Pointe, Lansdale, died unexpectedly Sunday, February 10, 2013. She was the beloved wife of 67 years of Edward T. Addison, Jr. Born in New Haven, CT, she was the daughter of Charles and Marion Ruthven Chatfield. After graduating from St. Margaret's School in Waterbury, CT, she attended Middlebury College in Vermont where she was a sister in Pi Beta Phi. Following graduation, she lived and worked in N.Y.C. for several years before marrying and moving to Philadelphia. She then worked as a bookkeeper and later as a secretary for the First Presbyterian Church of Ambler. Mrs. Addison was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed crafts, reading, vacationing with her family in Sea Isle, Sudoku, surfing the internet, puzzles of all types, and winning games of all kinds with her family and friends. She had a fifteen-year continuous Muggins domino game with her grandson. She was an avid bridge player; she was creative, resolute and delightfully frugal. She also had a long career of volunteering as a Girl Scout leader and cookie mom, aiding children and adults with English as a Second Language, serving at North Wales Library and later the Brittany Pointe Library, as well as helping with the Brittany Pointe Bazaar. She was a long-time active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Washington. In addition to her husband, Jeanne leaves behind two children, Edward T. "Terry" Addison III, and his wife Kathryn, of Fort Washington, Jane A. Moulton and her husband James; four grandchildren, Hannah Addison of Fort Washington, Jessica Moulton and her husband, James Moore of London, Amy Chase and her husband, Matt, of Reston, VA, Daniel Moulton and his wife, Ashley of N.Y.C. and two great-grandchildren, Addison Moore and Benjamin Chase. Jeanne was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Relatives and Friends may greet the family 1PM Saturday February 23 at Brittany Pointe, 1001 Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, where the Memorial Service will begin at 2PM.
