ASHLAND --- Mildred L. Drum, 79 of Ashland, NY died Monday at Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY. Born on August 3, 1924 in Maplecrest, NY, se was the daughter of the late Willis and Dorcas Cook Chatfield.

Mrs. Drum was married to Howard Drum, who predeceased her February 12, 1978. Mrs. Drum was a homemaker.

She is survived by her sons, Howard and wife Rosemarie Drum, George and wife Anita Drum; daughters Barbara and husband Robert Dodge, Susan and husband Donald Cox, Elizabeth and husband Barry Van Steenburg, and Marcia Drum. She is also survived by a son-in-law Hal Deats, sister Louise Cunningham, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by daughters Mary Drum and Katherine Deats, grandson Chris Drum, granddaughter Eric Cox, brother John Chatfield and sister Katherine (Polly) Chatfield.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 10, 2004 by Rev. Maybelle Renzi at 11 a.m. at the Ashland Community Church, Ashland, NY. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Ashland.

WINDHAM---Marcia G. Drum, 48, of Ashland, died peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006 at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany.

Born on March 30, 1957 in Rhinebeck, she was the daughter of the late Howard and the late Mildred Chatfield Drum.

Marcia was a first grade teacher at WAJ Central School. She was very proud of the fact that she taught first grade in the same classroom where she attended first grade when she was in school. Marcia loved being a teacher and her love of the children she taught was so evident. She received her teachers degree from SUNY at Oneonta.

Mrs. Drum was a member of the Ashland Community Church, the Cornell Cooperative Extension and the WAJ Building Committee.

She is survived by her brothers Howard and his wife Rosemarie Drum, George and his wife Anita Drum, sisters Barbara and her husband Robert Dodge, Susan and her husband Don Cox, Elizabeth and her husband Barry Van Steenburg and brother-in-law Hall Deats as well as her aunt Louise Cunningham. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by her sisters Mary Drum and Katherine Deats.
