George A. Chatfield, age 74 of Seymour, and Florida entered into peaceful rest March 6, 2013 at the Winter Haven Hospital, Winter Haven, FL with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of forty two years to Marcia (MacNeil) Chatfield.

He was born November 27, 1938 in Derby, son of the late Henry T. and Martha A. (Devine) Chatfield, and his step-mother Beryl (Burmaster) Chatfield who raised him.

George was a retired Security Guard for Griffin Hospital, Derby. He enjoyed camping, vegetable gardening, and especially attending Atlanta Braves Spring Training games at Disney World. George also spent many Summers in Weston, VT haying with local farmers.

In addition to his wife, George leaves his loving family including his daughter, Brenda (Paul) Harris of Ansonia, sisters, Jean Louise Chatfield of Chester, VT, Carol Ann Chatfield of Bristol, VT and Mary “Betty” E. Brosius of Brewster, NY.

His brother, Henry O. Chatfield, II predeceased him.
