SHREVEPORT, LA - Claude Lanier Cameron, 72, a sweet and gentle man, went to be with his Lord Wednesday, August 4, 2010.
Memorial services will be held at 4pm, Saturday, August 7, 2010, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be Sunday at the Clingman-Jones Valley Family Cemetery, Caddo Gap Arkansas.
Mr. Cameron was a member of Kings Highway Christian Church.
Claude was preceded in death by his wife Shirley; parents, Olive and Milton "Hookie" Cameron; and survived by brothers, James, Johnny and his wife, Judy, Milton, Nelson and his wife, Micah and a host of nephews and nieces: Jimmy, Donna Annette, Jeffrey, Summer, JJ, Patrick, Heidi, Christine, Milton, Celeste, Klaudia, Charli and Carsyn and many grand nephews and nieces.
Claude retired from the City of Shreveport after working for SPAR.
He graduated from Northwestern University and McNeese State University and Byrd High School where he was a member of the All State Choir. Claude was a veteran of the U. S. Army and the U.S. Marine Reserves for seven years, seven months. He was a member of the Scottish Society of the Louisiana Hielands. Claude resided all of his adult life in Shreveport's Highland neighborhood.
Claude will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
