Joy and his first wife apparently divorced at some point in time and both remarried.
Joy married Myrtle Wilson. Myrtle's funeral notice did not say she was survived by a husband but she may have or her and Joy's marriage may have ended in divorce too??
Joy remarried again in 1972 to a Phyllis Phillips. Phillips was probably a previous married name for her and not her maiden name.
Joy's index entry in the OR death index says he was the husband of Phyllis so it appears he and Phyllis were still together at the time of his death.
I don't know where Phyllis went? She could still be alive or may have remarried yet again after Joy died or maybe she died in some other state?
Joy's name is on the double wide gravestone he shares with his second known wife Myrtle but the cemetery confirmed that Joy is not buried in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery where Myrtle is buried. Joy got buried somewhere else apparently.

Myrtle's funeral notice in the paper did not have too many details. She married Joy Hewitt in 1955 in Multnomah County, OR., under the name Myrtle Wilson. I suspect that Wilson was more than likely a previous married name and not her maiden name but I do not know for sure?
