Walter Jay Riegsecker, 78, died Sunday morning, June 26, 2005, at his residence near Archbold, Ohio.
He was born on November 18, 1936 to Jacob and Eva (Kauffman) Riegsecker. He married Wanda Whitted on January 1, 1947, at her home in Fayette. They divorced in 1966 and he married Betty Double in 1972. She preceded him in death in 2003.
A veteran of World War II, he was stationed in the Phillipines in 1944, he was employed at Sauder Woodworking for 24 years, retiring in 1992.
Surviving are three daughters, Louise Wirick of West Unity, Janene Ely of Montpelier and Mrs. Mick (Alyse) Mull of Wauseon; two sons, Noland (Linda) of Archbold and Mark (Carol) of Ayersville; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard (Betty) of Archbold and Marlin (Nancy) of San Diego, California; a sister-in-law, Lueen Riegsecker of Archbold; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Millie Lugbill
In additon to his wife, Betty, he was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Edward; and an infant brother, Jacob Jr.
