He was born Jan. 10, 1893, to John D. Albers at Phillipsburg, Kan. and later lived at Ord, Neb. for a number of years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War 1, and married his wife, Idell, Jan 19, 1932, at Loup City, Neb. The couple resided at Burwell, Neb., for two years before coming to Nampa in 1934, where they had since lived. He was employed in the store department of the Pacific Fruit Express Company from 1936 until his retirement in 1958 Mr. Albers was a member of the Nampa Friends Church, Aerie No. 2103, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Union Pacific Junior Old Timers of Nampa. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five sons. Adrian Albers, Ron Ellis and Orville Ellis, all of Nampa, Kenneth Ellis, Westminister, Calif., and Keith Ellis, Meridian: two daughters, Mrs Henry Price Sr., and Mrs Baxter Mervin, both of Nampa: three brothers, Oscar Albers, Burley, Richard Albers in California, and Alfred Albers, Ord Neb.; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Meyers, in CO, and Mrs. Martha Keane, in Hermiston, Ore., 15 grandchildren and nine great - grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Alsip Chapel. The Rev. Willam Meehan, pastor of the Nampa Friends Church will officiate.
