Age 50, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at home. He was born January 4, 1967 in Prestonsburg, KY, the son of Charles David and Martha Jo (Hall) Chatfield. In 1990, he married Susan Miars in Canton. John David was a drywall subcontractor for Chatfield Drywall Company for many years. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and whitewater rafting. Survivors include: four sons, Cody Chatfield of Milan, Kyle (Racheal) Chatfield of Pinckney, Tanner Chatfield of Milan and Tate Chatfield of Saline; father Charles David Chatfield of Belleville; mother Martha Chatfield of FL; brother Scotty Ray (Tomara) Chatfield of Ypsilanti; two nephews; and three nieces. The funeral service will be 11 am Monday, June 12, 2017 at Metro City Church, 21080 Penn Street, Taylor, MI with Pastor Chris Pasik officiating. Cremation will follow. Stark Funeral Service, Ypsilanti where the family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 pm Sunday and at the church from 10 am until time of service Monday.
