Richard A. Cook Sr., 73, of Cicero, died Thursday at Upstate Medical Center. Mr. Cook was born in Syracuse in 1936. He worked for Allen Tool in Syracuse and was a co-founder of Allen Tool Phoenix Inc. He was also a member of the Viking Boat Club. Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Barbara J. Cook. Survivors include a son, Richard A. Cook Jr. of Lansing; a daughter, Michelle J. Cook of Columbus, GA; and two grandsons, Richard A. Cook III and Christopher Cook. Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Sears- Middleton-Jones Funeral Home, 209 North Main St., N. Syracuse, NY. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial: Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
