Lois E. Chatfield, 85, Danville, died Monday evening at the Danville Community Home. Services will be held Saturday at the Fairbanks-Lamb Chapel. Rev. Ian Armstrong and Rev. Keith Sorenson will both officiate. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. The daughter of John and Sarah Ross Rittenhouse, she was born Nov. 15, 1895 in Muscatine. Formally of Muscatine, she moved to Danville 25 years ago. Her marriage to Emory W. Chatfield took place Feb. 16, 1921 in Muscatine. He died in October 1968. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Edith Hathaway of Danville, two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
