Mr. Chatfield is the beloved father of William (Nancy) Chatfield, II, Deborah (Paul) West and Jason (Cassie) Chatfield. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and the ninth due any day, dear brother of Margaret, John, Jan, Ginny and Donnie and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Chatfield was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired Sergeant with the Michigan State Police where he worked for 27 years. He later worked as a security officer with V.G.'s Food Market and as the supervisor of the 52-1 District Court Community Service Program and Garden.
