He was 2nd Assistant to the Paymaster and Clerk to the Committee of Shipping in 1793. He was 1st Assistant to the Paymaster of Seamen's Wages in 1798. He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Surrey. He was Paymaster in 1802. He held the office of High Sheriff of Surrey in 1805. He lived at Croydon, Surrey, England. He lived at Cooper's Row, Hart Street, London, England.
