In his younger years, he was raised on Wern Farms, where his family was employed. In his adult working life, he was an over-the-road truck driver. His interests were bowling, basketball, baseball, go-karting, gardening, snowmobiling, camping, fishing and hunting. Bruce is survived by his spouse, Iris (Ball) Chatfield of Wautoma; his children, Sherry (Jeff) Chatfield of Watertown, Melody (Larry) Buetow of Waukesha and Holly (Daniel) Holick of Hancock; grandchildren, Kathleen, Kelly, Mary (Cully) Schessler, Michael (Caroline) Buetow, Jaime Vincent, Steven Ruhs, Sarah Ruhs, Tara (Tyler) Vroman, Jaquelyn (Andrew) Walejko and Hailey Holick; eight great-grandchildren, Dylan, Michaela, Aaron, Charlotte, Ellie, Benjamin, Harrison, Beau and one more on the way; a sister, Delores of Waukesha; a sister-inlaw, Audrey Hoekstra of Fort Atkinson; one brother, Ronald Chatfield of East Troy; one brother-in-law, James Ball of Sparta. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Gertrude; brothers-in-law, Gerold Buchan, Robert Bartz, and Kenneth Hoekstra; sisters-in-law, Ruth Chatfield and Arlene Ball; a nephew, David Chatfield; and a granddaughter, Lisa Ruhs. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. memorial service Saturday, Nov. 2, at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home, Sparta, with the Rev. Cassandra M. Sauter officiating. Burial will be in Cataract Cemetery, Cataract. Bruce Robert Chatfield and Iris A Ball were married on 17 December 1949 in USA. Iris A Ball was born on 24 July 1931 in USA.
