OBITUARY-
Florence Wright, 102, a retired longtime Austin teacher, died Wednesday evening (June 15, 1994) at Sacred Heart Hospice in Austin.

Florence Crane was born Sept. 9, 1891, in Austin and lived here most of her life. She graduated from Austin High School in 1910 and from Wellesley College in 1915. In 1918, she married Arthur Wright in Kansas City, Mo. Her husband died in 1931. Mrs. Wright taught in Hensdale, Mont., for a year and was a substitute teacher in Austin for many years. She was a member of the PEO in Austin and had been a member of First Congregational Church since she was a child.

Survivors include a daughter, Sylvia Gerbl of La Selva Beach, Calif.; three sons, Dr. William of Edina, Minn., Stephen of Austin and Frank of Northfield; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A brother and two sisters preceded her in death.

There will be a memorial service at 4 p.m. Friday at First Congregational Church in Austin with the Rev. David W. Groenemann officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. There will be no visitiaton or reviewal.
Clasen-Jordan Mortuary in Austin is in charge of arrangements.
