Mrs. Anne Minnie Peterson, a long time resident of Sacramento and
mother of a former deputy attorney general of CA, will be bur. Monday in
the Mountain View Cem. in Oakland.
She d. yesterday in the home of her niece, Florence Curry of 2701 G.
Street, after a short illness. A native of Mineral Point, WI, she came
to Sacramento in 1899 and had lived here since that time. Her residence
was at her niece's home.
Her son, the late Emmett J. Peterson, d. in 1935 while serving as
deputy attorney general of CA. A brother, Charles F. Curry, was a
representative of the Third Sacramento Congressional District for 18
years and for 12 years was CA secretary of state.
She was an active member of the D.A.R. and at one time was the
regent of the Continental Chapter of the organization in Washington, DC.
In addition to Miss Curry, she leaves her nephews, C. F. Curry, Jr.
of Sacramento and Leonard C. Curry of San Francisco and her other nieces,
Juanity Curry and Mrs. Homer Morgan of San Francisco. Her husband, the
late James Peterson, d. in 1903. [Sacramento Bee].
She was admitted to the D.A.R., National #150962, on Dec 17, 1919.
