DAVIS, Leroy E. 80, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday January 20, 2016 in his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 10, 1935 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Walter G. and Glenna (Howson) Davis.
He served his country in the USA Air Force. Leroy retired from Navistar after thirty-three years of service.
Survivors include his mother; wife of fifty-four years, Betty J. (Carper) Davis; two sons, David (Grace) Davis of New Carlisle and Dale (Kamala) Davis of Springfield; three sisters, two brothers; three grandchildren, Michelle (b 4 Jul 1985), Katie and Chelsea; four great-grandchildren, Faith, Carper, Jamie and Gavin.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 - 5 p.m. Sunday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday January 25, 2016 with Pastor Norman Hayes. Burial will be in Myers Cemetery.
