Family and friends will gather at graveside at the Flushing Cemetery on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 10:00am. Fern was born August 8, 1915 in Flushing, the daughter of Mr. Raymond Houser and Mrs. Florence Chatfield. She was united in marriage to Kenneth D. Mellon in 1933, remaining married until his death in 1999. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Fern leaves to cherish her memory: 2 sons, Kenneth J. Mellon, and Jerry and wife Kathy Mellon; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Clifford, Edgar, and Max Houser; sister, Frances Gardner; and many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Jerod Mellon and the folks from Hospice. Fern was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Jerry Houser; sisters, Bernice Hager, and Lucille Juckette.
