When she was 14 years of ages, the family moved to Merriefield, Minnesota, she was a house keeper in Portland OR. For a while and back home in Minnesots she met Leslie Mushatt. After they were married, they moved to Washington State to raise their family. Irene loved to bowl and after Les died she enjoyed the time she volunteered at the local food bank.

Irene Julia Erhardt and Leslie LeRoy Mushatt were married in USA. Leslie LeRoy Mushatt was born on 27 June 1919 in Pillager, Cass Co., Minnesota, USA. He died Emphysema on 8 January 1986 at the age of 66 in Tacoma, Pierce Co., Washington, USA. He was buried in Fir Lane Memorial Park, Spanaway, Pierce Co., Washington, USA. Parents Winfield & Olive Mushatt.

There he met Irene Ehrhardt and after the war they were married. Les served in World War II in the South Pacific. He was a member of Harmony Disabled American Veterans. In 1947 Les & Irene moved to Tacoma,Washington and started logging. After several years he went to work for West Tacoma News Print, They sold out to Boise Cascade Corp. After 21 years he retired. Les loved bowling and weekends at the beach.
