Raymond B. Kimberly, of Sunrise, FL, died September 1, 1995, after a brief illness. He was 79. Ray had a keen interest in sports and played semi-pro basketball in his younger years. Mr. Kimberly was secretary/comptroller for L.E. Myers in Toledo, OH, until his retirement in 1980. As an avid card player, he will be missed by his friends at the Sunrise Senior Center, Sunrise , FL. Born April 24, 1916 in Wallingford, CT, longtime resident of Toledo, OH, and Jacksonville, FL, moving to Sunrise , FL, in 1993.
Member of South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church. A veteran of Army Air Corps during WW II, Mr. Kimberly was also a member of U.C.T. Mr. Kimberly will join his wife of 54 years, Mabel, who preceded him in glory on December 31, 1994.
Survived by son Donald (Barbara) Kimberly of Sunrise, daughters, Janet (Steven Williams) Jones, of Pembroke Pines, FL and Betsy (Earl) Branson of Clarksville, TN; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Per Mr. Kimberly, private services were held.
