An Apple Valley resident for nine years, she was very active with the Victor Valley Welfare fund, Apple Valley Federated Women's club, and the newly organized Senior Citizens. Just recently Mrs. Driver attended a reunion of her old Sunday school class from the Baptist church in Maywood. A memorial service was set for Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Church of the Valley, where Mrs. Driver was an active member of both the United Presbyterian Women's group, and deaconess. Rev. William O. Hansen will officiate. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Temple City. Members of her Sunday school class will bring along a portion of a fund to be set up in her memory. It will be known as the "Nelly Driver Memorial Welfare Fund." The money will be used solely for the welfare of the needy persons in the local areas. Any donations may be made through the Church of the Valley, and checks may be made payable to the same for the Nelly Driver fund. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Margaret Chatfield of Temple City, three grand children and for great-grandchildren. George Franklin Driver, son of Franklin P Driver, was born on 3 July 1879 in Kimball, Stearns Co., Minnesota, USA. He died on 6 June 1953 at the age of 73 in Bell Gardens, Los Angeles Co., California, USA.
