Norman Chatfield has resided in Chicago for several years. Nearly a year ago health failed and he went south hoping to regain it, but on the contrary his health grew worse and a few days ago he came to his father’s, Mr. Silas Chatfield where he died June 20, 1894. Norman was buried in the Adams Cemetery beside his mother, Mary Holcomb Chatfield.

A son Allen Chatfield of Waterloo, Iowa and a daughter Mrs. Zella Ballard of Chicago accompanied the body. Formal services were held Friday afternoon at the Seneca Chatfield home in Adams, Town of Troy, Walworth County, Wisconsin. Burial was in the Adams Cemetery where her first husband, Norman Chatfield is buried. The Rev. Henderson of Madison, Wisconsin, friend of the family, conducted the services. Two ladies from Henderson’s church choir sang two hymns. Mr. and Mrs. Don Manson of Chicago, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Larson and daughter of Madison, Mrs. H. Olson of Fort Atkinson, Mrs. Alice Gonia of Whitewater, Wis., Mesdames Manetta Chatfield, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Chatfield and daughter of Milton Junction, and Mrs. C. Anderson of Janesville were those from a distance to attend the funeral.
