JOHN STONE DRAPER, Oak Park, died at his residence, 533 North Kenilworth avenue, on Sunday, aged 83. He was born in Rochester, N.Y., and went to Milwaukee, Wis., in 1850. He built the first telegraph line between Milwaukee and Chicago. A few years later he built a line to Madison, Wis. Later he was in the grain business at Janesville, Wis., and in 1896 retired and removed to Oak Park. He is survived by a widow, two sons, J. Lewis and Bryant, two daughters, Mrs. Frank B. White and Mrs. Frederick A. Sperry. The funeral will be held this morning at 10 o'clock at the First Presbyterian church of Oak Park.
