Was a partner with Burdette R. Corning in Corning and Haskins Hardware Store in Cincinnatus NY where they manufactured tin goods including the "Superior Evaporator" and other maple sugaring tools, wagon rims etc. for nearly 60 years. He also started the first bank of Cincinnatus with B R Corning where he was the President for some time. When the bank holiday struck during the great depression it was said that George A. Haskins paid bank customers back with his own money.
