Russell Bissell Wilson, age 95 of Sykesville, died at Integrace Fairhaven in Sykesville. Born August 26, 1922 in Manchester, CT, he was the son of the late William McConnell Wilson and the late Iva Rose Campbell Wilson. He was the husband of the late Phyllis Louise King Wilson. Until his retirement at age 67, he worked as an expeditor with Pratt and Whitney Aircraft. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in WWII. He was an accomplished violinist. He played first violin with the Hartford Connecticut Symphony and was Concert Master with the Norwich Connecticut Symphony. Surviving family members include his daughter Dr. Rosemary Wilson Patterson and her husband Val Lane Patterson of Sykesville, his daughter Jane Elizabeth Wilson and her husband Dr. Steven Chatfield of Eugene, OR, his grandson Joshua Wilson Chatfield and his spouse Rikkianne CHATFIELD, his granddaughter Jessie Wilson Proulx and her spouse Mike Proulx, his grandson Kevin Elliott Wilson, and his step-granddaughter Terais Naeleen Patterson, and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services and interment will be private. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery in East Hartford, CT.
