Elaine DeDeyne (nee Fisher), loving mother and grandmother, age 94, surrounded by family and friends, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at her home, in Las Vegas.
She was born November 2, 1923, in Racine, Wisconsin, and was a graduate of Washington Park High School. She was married to Julius DeDeyne for 61 years. Elaine was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church, she served on Altar Guild, sang in the choir, served at Martin's Mart and was a member of the Women's Circle Bible Study Group. She had a passion for caring for people, especially children.
She was a special mother and grandmother who was loved by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her loving nature and her quick wit. She would always say, "I'm funny you know."
She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius; and her brother, Robert Fisher. Elaine is survived by her sister, Laverne Willman; her son, Ron Rasmussen (Karen); her daughters, Sharon Browne (Steve), Jill Chatfield (Kevin) and Kelly Grant (Bruce); eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews. Service to celebrate Elaine's life and Interment will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 8, at Christ Lutheran Church, 111 N. Torrey Pines Drive, Las Vegas.
