Brossart, Shawna Marie 01/05/1966 ~ 03/08/2013 VALLEY CENTER -- Shawna Marie Brossart, 47, died Friday March 8, 2013 after a brave fight against cancer. She was born and raised in Escondido, Calif. Shawna is survived by her husband, Randy Brossart; her daughter, Jennifer and her sons, Kenny and Robby of Valley Center; her parents, Bill and Dorothy Schelling; her sister, Dionne Shadden and her husband, Lonnie and their son, Shylo; and her mother-in-law, Lois Brossart of Escondido. Shawna went to Grace Lutheran Elementary School and San Pasqual High School.
She married Randy, her high school sweetheart in 1990. They moved to Valley Center in 1993. She was the manager at her parent's convenience store for a few years, retiring to raise their children. She and her husband have owned Center Septic for 17 years. She was very active in her children's lives, participating in all of their school and extracurricular events. She was very involved in Pop Warner starting in 2002 as the Team Mom, went on to be Business Manager and then Vice President. She was also involved at her church as Youth Director. Family was always very important to Shawna. Included in that family were her many animals. Over the years she enjoyed snow skiing, boating, off roading, fishing, exploring, camping at the beach, family trips to June Mtn., taking care of her horses and she even had a ham radio license. She was riding her quad in the desert as recently as just a few weeks ago. Shawna touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held for Shawna on Friday, March 15th at 3:00 p.m. at Light of The Valley Lutheran Church, 28330 Lilac Road,Valley Center, CA. 92082.
