Birth GRO 1st qtr 1842
Russell, Reuben Henry Lewisham 5 281
Death QLD 1884/C965 Reuben Henry Russell John Russell & Mary Cooke
=====
Reuben and Eleanor married in England and had a son named William when they arrived at Port Dennison which is now the town of Bowen NQ. I am sure that they arrived in Bowen 1862/1864?
and migrated with an exploratory team to travel to Ravenswood then Charters Towers where Ada was born in 1874. Reuben built the first school at Millchester in Charters Towers 1874. He also built the first school in Nth Qld at Wondecla in 1880, this is where the first township was built on Nigger Creek and the Northern Mine opened in Herberton itself, then people developed Herberton as the sister 'City' to Charters Towers known as 'The World'. William died aged 21 in a buggy accident near Mossman NQ, but I have also heard that he was attacked by Aboriginals and speared.
