Doris P. Sega Cottingham (nee Houston), passed away October 28, 2006. Born in Wadsworth to Thomas and Sylvia Houston on February 14, 1923.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and past member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She worked for Wadsworth Center for Older Adults, where she later volunteered and had also volunteered at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital, Wadsworth Red Cross, and Magnolia Retirement and Rehab Village.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands John Sega and Joe Shega; brothers Clyde and Willard Houston; sisters Myrtle Ries, Vera Johnson and Maxine Sabo; daughter Norma; and sons-in-law Robert Holland and Richard Boyer.
She is survived by husband Cone Cottingham; daughters Sandra Holland, Nancy Boyer, Connie (C.B.) Slabaugh of San Antonio, Texas; sons Dennis (Deb) Sega of Hartville and Michael (Patty) Sega; grandchildren Sherri Newman, Ricky (Nona) Boyer, Shelly (James) Grammer, John (Tracie) Sega, Kerri (Mike) Keller, Joey Holland, Kristie Boyer, D.J. (Jaime) Sega), Jason Durnye and Alison Sega; 12 great-grandchildren; brother Thomas Houston; sisters-in-law Jean Sega and Virginia Houston; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, stepchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and friends.
