One-of-a-kind, Alfonse (Alphonse) raised 3 children from his first marriage to June Early: Sandra, Mark, and Laura. With his second wife, Doris Lichtenthal Samuel, he had a son, Dean Laurence and also raised Doris' four children from her first marriage: Deborah, Jeanne, Katharine,and Elizabeth. Al loved hockey- playing in high school and then was associated with many New Haven teams including the Blades, Nighthawks, and the Beast.
