Virgil G. (Dock) Hasty, 68, of 2427 Myrtle Avenue, died at 7 a.m. Tuesday in Seminole Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 10, 1898 in Union County, N.C., he came to Sanford in 1912 from Peachland, N.C. He had been a farmer and a contractor and had installed most of the sewer and water lines in Sanford. At time of his death, he was lessee-manager of Big Tree Park concession. He attended the First Baptist Church.
