Sylvia Nina Campbell 1888- 1944
Sylvia was the daughter of Sir Guy Theophilus Campbell of Thames Ditton, Surrey. She had been born in Kent on 18 March 1888 and educated at St .Leonard’s School, St. Andrews, Scotland. This was the school which Doctor Flora Murray had attended and had recruited a number of ex- students as orderlies at Endell Street hospital. The St Leonard’s school archives list Sylvia working at Endell Street but no dates given, but probably in 1915 prior to her marriage in 1916.
On 12 January 1916, Sylvia married Rhys Clavell Mansell, Captain in The Rifle Brigade at St Margaret’s, Westminster, London. They had 4 children and Sylvia died in 1944 in London.
