Steward E. Boyer, 79, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018 in the Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of the late Dorothy M. Rabold Boyer. He was born in Lancaster County on January 3, 1939, a son of the late Howard M. and Katherine C. Reppert Boyer. Steward was employed as a roofer for Sensenig Roofing in Ephrata for 26 years. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by a daughter, Deborah D. Frederick and husband, Timothy of Newmanstown; grandchildren, Jennifer Chatfield and husband, Brian; Christopher Frederick and wife, Karianne; great- grandchildren, Jasmine CHATFIELD, Marissa CHATFIELD, Austin Chatfield; Nolan Frederick and Eliza Frederick; brother, Kenneth Boyer of Richland; sister, Joyce Moore and husband, Harold "Spike" of Newmanstown. He was preceded in death by sisters, Alverta Bucher, Helen Bucher and Jean Miller. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 10 a.m. in Clauser Funeral Home, 116 N. Carpenter Street, Schaefferstown. Interment in Grandview Memorial Park.
