Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Stetson, who died Saturday evening in the St. Anne nursing home, were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Ruge Funeral Home.
The Rev. Paul C. Wilson officiated and burial was in the Aroma Park cemetery.
Lois Legg Stetson was born in Leggtown, Aroma Township, April 13, 1867, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Legg. She was educated in the Leggtown and Aroma Park schools and married Emmett Stetson Feb. 17, 1886.
They lived in Sheldon for 12 years, in St. Anne for eight years, in Aroma Park and finally Momence where Mr. Stetson operated a grocery store for a number of years.
She was a member of the Methodist church at Momence and the American Legion Auxillary.
Surviving are a son, George Henry of Momence; a daughter, Mrs. Roy Chatfield of Des Moines, Ia.; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Lucy Legge of Madison, Wis.
