Kearns, UT -- Joel Eugene Allred, age 74, passed away peacefully at his home, March 13, 2016. Born February 27, 1942 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Joseph Dow and Jean Marie Anderson Allred. Married the love of his life, Karen Taylor, August 31, 1985.
Joel enjoyed the great outdoors, especially hunting and fishing with family and friends. He loved traveling anywhere he could shoot a gun or catch a fish. Joel was a longtime employee and retired from O.C. Tanner.
Survived by children, Cheryle (Randall) CHATFIELD, and Jolene ParDee; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews; brother Lynn (Theresa), and Jean (Ray) Salazar. Preceded in death by his lovely wife, Karen, parents, and brothers Gary, and Bart and sisters Vickie, and Deena.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah with viewings to be held from 6-8:00 pm on Friday and one hour prior to the funeral, both at the mortuary. Interment to follow.
