He was part of the Tenth Company, Second Regiment commanded by Capt
Gideon Stoddard. There are tales of William, Stephen Terrell and Thomas
Drinkwater (William's son) that the men went as far as Quebec and were in the
battle of the Heights of Abraham and, possibly in others.
